I receive a lot of emails and comments from readers who are looking for the actual recipes for the items I’m baking from Martha Stewart’s Baking Handbook. I think most people find my site through Google searches for specific items (e.g. “martha stewart sugar buns”). They want to bake this item and need to find the recipe on-line. They land here, find a big honkin’ post discussing the very item they’re looking for – with pictures and everything – but no recipe for them to use to actually make it. Frustrating, right?
Well, here’s the thing. I plan on baking every recipe in the MSBH. I do not, however, plan on typing out every recipe from the MSBH to correspond with every post because:
- I do not have that sort of time or discipline; and
- When it’s all said and done, this blog would be a verbatim reproduction of the entire MSBH which, I do believe, would enter into some serious legal gray area.
I have started looking for the MSBH recipes on Martha’s website and if they are posted there, I will link to them in my post. Other than that, you’ll just have to buy the book if you want the recipes.

Fair enough, it might be nice if your community chooses to post some of the recipes.
